What to do with all this free time? Play other games. I have a few already lined up in my mental queue. Some of them I own, some I don’t. They are:

Zelda games have been known to do this before it was predictable. When I was a kid, I thought the game would end after collecting the three spiritual stones in Ocarina of Time. After the cutscene where Zelda tosses the ocarina into the moat, you go to the Temple of Time, and I expected Ganondorf to show up, a battle would ensue, and that’s that. NOPE! You’re a badass adult now! I didn’t see it coming, and I loved it. The same thing happened in A Link to The Past before I was condemned to the Dark World. But nowadays, these plot twists are expected from games like Zelda.

Currently, I’m playing a game called Okami. It’s great, and very similar to Zelda. There was this horrible curse, and throughout the game you hear stories about this terrible 8-headed dragon being the source of all evil. Then, about 3 dungeons later, you enter battle against that dragon after a long, climactic cutscene. So, should it be the end of the game, right? Well, it’s not, and I love it.

But do game companies consider how many times their games are acquired illegally? You bet they do. TorrentFreak hit up all the major public BitTorrent trackers and took note of how many times a particular game has been downloaded. If these figures are correct, I’m astounded in many different ways.

What I want to know is how someone could download and play Wii Sports Resort, when the purchase of a Wii Motion Plus peripheral is required to play. Anyone who torrents must also be a Macgyver prodigy, constructing their own Motion Plus out of paperclips and gum.

I’m assuming that the point of downloading is to achieve games for free, because of a lack of money. Therefor, no one would go out and buy a Motion Plus. Pirates don’t plunder a village, then pay for the rum.

This is the newest Wii commercial. It’s done in an “office” manner, and it’s pretty funny.

Check out these sweet shoes! There are actually two designs; the first based on Twilight Princess and other based on Wind Waker. Impressive work. I’ve never wanted anything on my feet so badly.

Lufia 2 is actually a prequel to the first Lufia game, which featured poor graphics, even on the SNES, and there was nothing to make it unique among RPGs. But that changed in Lufia 2! The graphics were different and the battles had a unique, yet simple interface. The quality dungeons and puzzles (which this game is known for) were clever and took some thinking on my part. The monsters could be seen in the dungeons, and battles were initiated when contact was made. Also, the monsters only moved when you moved, so you could avoid dangerous battles if you were low on health. Purchasing magic was a neat idea, and Capsule Monsters were cool too.

The strangest part about this game is it’s developer, Natsume, who’s known for the Harvest Moon series. Over the years, I’ve been led to believe that Natsume is a company that thrives more on making money than making quality games. Why else would they make a million Harvest Moons, some of which are the exact same except you can choose to be a girl? Couldn’t you just choose to be a boy or girl in the beginning and make one game? Also, there are typos in EVERY Harvest Moon game, which tells me there are people slacking in the translation and testing departments. And sometimes your gameplay mechanics aren’t very user-friendly and could benefit from a bit more thought. Basically, what I’m saying is this: You make some low quality games, with a few exceptions. Lufia 2 is definitey one of those exceptions. Serious fun.
